I’m Damon Robert chief blogger for the FreeTown Press news blog. I write about culture and inspiration in the small area known as “FreeTown” in Lafayette, Louisiana. My belief is that this area is a budding source of culture, arts, knowledge, expression and genuine human interaction. However, this community is largely unknown to people visiting Lafayette, even living in the city limits. Everyday I see new life and creation popping up in this town and just want the whole world to know about the fantastic happenings of FreeTown. My passion is finding the unknown and interesting in order to inspire those in a community to come together and realize what they really have is special and unique. Hopefully through my writing of life in this community more attention will be focused on the people and places that live and exist in this wonderful place.
