Anyone who lives in Lafayette has definitely seen the flyers for “The Cane Fire Film Series” events usually held at the Acadiana Center for the Arts (AOC) Downtown. I’ve personally seen many of the flyers but never attended due to my busy work and school schedule. However, after seeing  the advertisement for the latest showing “Sunshine Superman” presented by Pack & Paddle at the AOC; an exception had to be made.

According to the Pack & Paddle event page. Sunshine Superman is a documentary highlighting the incredible feats of Carl Boenish, one of the founding members of the popular BASE Jumping sport. Through sheer determination alone he accomplished some of the most amazing and dangerous foot launched flights in human history. His most notable being the Guinness Book of World Record breaking  jump from the Norwegian “Troll Wall” mountain range. This movie is a breathtaking ode to one man’s love for the outdoors and pushing life’s boundaries to the limit. Hope to See you There!

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for the “Make Life an Adventure Night” event featuring some local Louisiana outdoor and adventure shops.

The Film “Sunshine Superman” begins at 7:30 p.m.
