The Planetarium in Downtown Lafayette: Little known but Incredible

The Lafayette Science Museum Planetarium located on the second floor of the Lafayette Science Museum in downtown Lafayette is a little known local treasure. From experiencing virtual space flight to exploring outer lying solar systems and planets, everyone can benefit from a quick visit to this local wonder.

Summer Programs for the General Public Include:

-Back to the Moon for Good: An Exploration of flight possibility to the moon

-Galaxies and Cosmic Castaways: An adventure through time and space itself to the far reaches of our solar system and galaxies.

-The Sky Tonight: A live showing that highlights various constellations that can be seen from telescope and the naked eye

-Dawn of the Space Age: A showing of the dawn of the space age race between the United States and the Soviet Union.
